Vintage Pyrex Find

There are just times when the weather isn't cooperating with my plans. These past few weeks have been one of those times. Per the norm the weather is beautiful during the week but when the weekend finally rolls around it's either storming or too windy to spray paint. How dare the weather inconvenience me so!

What is one to do when she can't spray paint? I don't know about you but I use the time to hit up Goodwill on a treasure hunt. It is well-known among my family and friends that I am addicted to vintage Pyrex. If I see one in good shape I have to scoop it up. So you can imagine my pleasure when I came across this little beauty at my local Goodwill.

Score! And for only $3.93! I've never seen this pattern before but according to PyrexLove this is the Terra Pattern, which was introduced in the 1960's. I love it! I can't wait to serve up some salsa in it this summer!

Whooo's a fan of spray paint?

I believe I have mentioned it before, but I am a huge fan of spray paint. It's amazing the transformations you can make with that little can of color. Just about everything I see I want to spray paint.

I'm also a huge fan of owls. They're so cute with their large eyes and little heart-shaped faces. There's an owl that sometimes visits the tree outside my master bedroom window and he'll wake me up with his "whooo whooo" calls.

Which leads me to today's project. One fast Google search and you can find white glass owls everywhere on the web these days. I found this cute little owl figurine at Goodwill and knew he was a perfect candidate! He was priced right under $2.

Poor guy, he was stuck in the 70's. No worries, white spray paint to the rescue.

Much better. Now he belongs in this decade. He actually sits on the dresser in the master bedroom as in the first picture--the flowers were just a much prettier backdrop.
